I stood in the aisle, looking through the browns, but found myself focusing primarily on the reds. I couldn't turn away! I spotted a color I had never seen before (Garnier Nutrisse Roasted Coffee), and had to try it. I guess I truly am a redhead at heart...
Since my hair is long, I always buy two boxes. I mix them at the same time and sort of double fist it. I don't really like coloring my own hair since it's messy and time consuming, but it beats paying what I usually do when I get it colored at a salon.
Do you color your own hair? I'd love to know what brand/shade the faux redheads out there like me use! What color works best for you?

I rise with my red hair,
And I eat men like air."

I absolutely LOOOOOVE it! LOVE! I've started at the color a million times and always wanted to do it! Go you for being brave enough to try because you look stunning! Xo Lori
ReplyDeleteOh wow, it looks so natural on you! I love it :) xx

Your hair looks marvelous, love that shade, beautiful :)) x
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Loving the red!
ReplyDeleteIve tried all sorts of shades of red! I love the brand you used but I usually use the cheaper brands since my hair reacts the same to most of them anyways ( I'm a natural redhead) so it takes well.
Did you notice that the box you used actually lightened your hair? Ive been wondering about it because I am dying to go light for summer!!

Ohh lala! It looks wonderful!! No, I do not colour my own hair...I used to, but I've inherited a sister-in-law that's a hair stylist (aka super cheap colours and free cuts!). It's extremely convenient heheh ;) xx -b.
ReplyDeletelove it! turned out so well! i am blonde and also color my own hair - usually turns out even better than at a salon paying 130!
ReplyDeletewell I don't colour my hair, or at least I#ve not been planning to but I'm always interested when people do ;)
ReplyDeleteThe colour looks incredible on you, it doesn't look coloured at all!
xoxo Jen

Your hair looks totally gorgeous. I'm a faux redhead too. I used the Perfect 10 Cinnamon Red Hot (I think?) for a long time but I finally started getting it done at a salon because it seems to take better and stick around longer. : ) The red really suits you! Thanks so much for commenting over on my blog, glad to have found yours too!
ReplyDeletei love it! just now following so i'm just seeing the transformation...but it's lovely!

Gorgeous lady! Red really suits you :]
ReplyDeleteI use loreal excellence hicolor - red fire. I really like it because I had gone from black hair, to dark brown, and really needed to lift the color out at first. Now it just helps keep it bright and vibrant.
I don't have to dye it, haha. My redhair is all natural ^^ Didn't like it as a kid, LOVE it now! I also love your faux red hair ^^ this shade really suits you! x
ReplyDeleteas a hairstylist i would say that you should never buy box color, but i LOVE this color on you. its gorgeous..
ReplyDeleteOMG, WE ARE HAIR TWINS!
ReplyDeletelove, love, LOVE
xoxoxoxo
Okay, this looks really natural on you!
ReplyDeleteI really wish I'd been born a redhead. It's my favorite color on myself. I'm a brunette and I get so easily bored being a brunette. I dye my own hair too since it's cheaper and since I just choose to change it up so randomly, so often. I forget the names of the boxes I pick up but it's honestly whatever is cheapest. :) Nothing crazy.
I have home dyed my hair red many a time, I love it, this colour is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNew follower, I love your blog its cute :)
