A Little DC History

Andrew and I went on a little bike ride to the Lincoln Memorial and the World War II Memorial in DC...

First we stopped at the WWII Memorial. It was pretty and had fountains and things.

We found Wisconsin!

And Connecticut!

Then we visited Honest Abe.

This is my "eeee, hurry-up!" face.
People were taking turns standing where I was standing to get a picture, so I had to time it just right and jump in there so Andrew could take my picture. Everyone was watching me!

Sadly, I've never seen the Washington Monument with water, so the view wasn't as magical and pretty as I had hoped, but it was still amazing being up there.

It was super exciting and a little creepy standing where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood when he gave his speech in 1963.

What an incredible human being.

It's crazy to think how far we've come.
Though I know we aren't there 100%, I think he'd be proud.

Things looked a little different back then!

We walked behind the monument and took some silly pictures.

It was a fun trip! I'm glad we went, even though I fell off my bike on the way home...

Haha, oh well. I'm used to bruises!
I'm such a klutz...
